This can be considered a bug report against the forums.

Title: It can be difficult or impossible to create a forum account

  1. Visit https://octavo.discoursehosting.net/
  2. Look for a way to create an account
  3. Click “Log in” instead
  4. Look for a way to create an account
  5. Click back
  6. Resize the browser window to fullscreen

Expected results:

There’s a link to Octavo Systems Community on the forum main page and on the login page.

Actual results:

There are no links to create an account on either page, until step 6 after resizing the browser window. Then a “Create Account” link appears at the top.

After playing around and resizing my browser window to various sizes, it looks like there are four layouts: narrow, narrow-medium, medium-wide, and wide. The “Create Account” link appears in the narrow-medium and wide layouts, but no link shows up in the narrow layout or medium-wide. After logging in, the same problem occurs with the link to the user profile, but only in medium-wide.

Title: Typo “Roll” on Create Account page

  2. Look at the last text field before the captcha

Expected results:

I’m guessing that you mean to ask for “Role”.

Actual results:

It says “Roll”.

Note that the “roll” issue also appears on the user profile page.

Thanks for the Feedback Colby. I have corrected the Roll/Role Typo. I am working on adding the create account links.

Just added a registration link to the login page. Again thanks for the feedback.
